A buddy and I will be there on Saturday as spectators. This has always been a very good, well-rounded show. Always a few HAMB-friendly vehicles mixed in. A few years ago "THEM" club had a huge turnout of club cars in a club display that really drew the spectators to the area of the show in which they were on display. Not so much in the last couple years, though. Too bad. The general public needs to be exposed to the "hoodlum" side of hot rodding and all the fun we have, not just the gold-chainers and their prissyness...

Cool - be sure to post pics here. The Autorama happens in Sacramento, CA this weekend too - unique Saturday through Monday event.

  4. Dallas Autorama lost its "Class" when the old Quarter Miler club stopped running the show.. Maybe Don Deere is still giving the new group some advice..Don was in charge for 40-50 years,,

I attended the last couple of years on Sunday afternoon. It was really, really crowded.....no way you could get a clear photo of a car.

Not too many HAMB-friendly vehicles this year, unfortunately. Lots of muscle cars and Corvettes, but very few purely traditional rods or customs. But there was one really outstanding custom '48 Chevy that really drew me in. Very nice car...

Lots of neat features and excellent detailing. All in all an excellent new-built traditional custom. Sorry there weren't more...

Ya' know...the organizers of the Dallas Autorama could sure take some lessons from the organizers of the Sacramento Autorama. What a difference in tone and focus! Not only were many of the cars in the DFW show absolute snoozers, but the Market Hall venue was not nearly full. Texas has the cars, so why are they not at this show which is the largest winter show in the area? Well...?
