  13. The Bluesmobile has been my daily driver for over 7 years. It just turned 260,000 miles on the original 360, and the heads have never been off of the engine!!! The guy that I bought it from (before I turned into a Bluesmobile) was an Air Force mechanic who was a fanatic about maintenance! Rain, snow, sun, etc. this car gets driven! It has NEVER been on a trailer to go to a show or parade either! If you look really hard in front of the driver's side headlight, you can see the DoD decals for getting onto the Navy bases in the area when we go to do our design work on the ships...

The 49 Dodge truck in the garage is going to see a lot of use as a daily driver when it is done too. I'm already signed up to help some good friends of ours move into another house with it later next month!

When I worked at a local engineering company, the 71 Road Runner would get driven to work on nice weather Fridays and my co-workers would call it "car show Friday" in our lot... The owner has a 65 Corvette, I'd bring my Road Runner, one of the engineers had a whole stable of Pontiacs (67 LeMans convert, 70 Firebird, 49 Pontiac 4 door, etc...) and another Designer had a 66 Chrysler 300 with a kick-ass 440 in it... We's stake out the front corner of the parking lot and watch people checking out the cars as they drove by.

I drive mine every chance I get. Grocery store, hardware store, picking up grand kids after school. I do chicken out in the winter however. At 4,000' elevation, ice and snow, I don't want some bozo sliding into me.

IF YOU DON'T DRIVE IT, IT'S NOT A CAR!

She didn't like it as a stick, so I installed a COM and an original 'automatic' column shift. - Dave
