D'Agostino's 'Cool 57' sold at auction

    If you may have wondered what happened to D'Agostino's 57 Cadillac 'Cool 57', it is downunder and recently sold at auction for $80,000Aus. It was on display at the Sydney Motor Show, where I took these pics.

    Someone got a bargain compared with what he put into it. Hell, to ship it down under is no small fee.

    Dang, 80g Australian is about 70g US so for a car built by one of the greats thats a bargain! I just hope it dont tun up with 22s LT1 etc etc.....

    Unless I'm reading the auction results wrong, there are marker plates that went for more money than the Caddy.:) :D

    This plate passed in at over $800,000.

    These are plates that can be put on your car for everyday driving, but are very early Aussie plates.

    Other D'Agostino cars downunder are Marilyn and Imperial Royale, seen here back in 2004.

    Crazy as it sound Id love to be rich enough to be able to lay out $800,000 on a number plate! If I could afford that it would mean I had every other toy I could imagine owning!

    the guy in melbourne with the million dollar numberplate... "1", has it bolted to a porsche boxter, a car worth a hundred gorillas.
