I dont remember if I posted this before but I scanned a couple old pictures of my dads 55 Chevy from somewhere around 1973. Thought you might enjoy the old Pictures.

We had those same jack stands when I was growing up in the 70's.

What some people won't think of! My garage is made out of a bunch of those old traditional jack stands.

Cool '55 and it's very similar to one my friend had back in the late 60's to early 70's.

Is that a pipe for the front bumper? The plumbing in my house is made out of old front bumpers like that.

  10. very cool 55 in the right color combo for a 55

  11. nice pics.....but sorry my dad wasn't a hot rodder....kinda hated V/8's...

  12. Bel Air post with an L88 scoop! Loving the polished radiator top on it, looks to be mounted in the 6 cylinder position(?). Between that and those aluminum slots, I'll bet he bought a lot of Mother's polish. What engine was he running? The other 55 looks about like the stuff I used to drag home.
Glad to see the old pix:cool:

Jezz I'm old enough to be your Dad? My '55 is my avatar from the '70's.

It's just a shame he had them turned the wrong way!
