Custom headlights, what do you think?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Probesport, Jan 30, 2012.

  1. I love the Guide 682C headlights but haven't picked up any yet, however I am on the fence if I should after tinkering around a bit.

I made these from Dietz lights and motorcycle indicators, they are still in rough form just not sure if I should do the other one or just bite the bullet and buy the Guide's.

Honest opinions, I wont feel bad only burned an hour or so.

I really like the size and shape of the main light a lot!, but not really feeling the upper light...but maybe it would grow on me...

I would not go with the BLC's because they are so overused today, and depending on what build decade of rods you like, the ones you have might be more of what was used.

  8. If you don't use em I'll take em off your hands!!!

They look good, but you need a real exhaust system.

What you have so far will be obnoxious and sound like shit.

how about underneath,in front of the mounts? might have to line up the bezels, moving the turn signal foward a bit. tie the housing in with the mount, just to be different. Von Buzz.

Another vote for "They look great." Gotta have turn-signals somewhere, and they seem to look best right where you've got 'em...Guides or not. Finish 'em and use 'em. That much more $ for the rest of the project. Anybody talks crap about 'em, hook the ass to the back of your car and drag 'im...lol.

Later, if you get some extra bucks, and you really want 'em, get the Guides. Don't listen to the "Guides are over-used" talk...as if ya see 'em on every corner. Yeah, we often see the same this and that on the HAMB, but out on the road, and compared to the millions of commuter cars...our cars are unique...including yours. It's the commuter cars that are all the same and "overdone"...lol. Good luck. Have fun. And your car is lookin' good.

When I saw the title I expected to see something not so good, but you actually did a very good job making those look like they should be there. There were a bunch of lights in the old days that had a second light on top, and these look like they could have been from that time.

    Very good job.:)

I like 'em, too. Original idea, Soooo much better than those little goodguise thingies that sit on the frame horn....
For the 'doubting Thomases', use this idea. To 'guide 'em'.

  25. Use 'em, they're neat.
