Due to some close quarters under my hood, I need to construct a custom fitting to attach an aircleaner off at 90 degrees . I am thinking that I could use one of those small cone shaped round filters by K&N? I plan to carve the part out of solid bass wood and hollow it out then have it cast in aluminum. Is there any thing I should know about the shape of the interior? or is this that critical for the airflow? It will be on a single 2 bbl carb.
