It is simply a pipe thru the floor, welded to the frame with bearings. There is no locking device. Because you sit behind the pivot center, it stays pretty straight
Thanks for posting those photos. The way it looked from the original shot I couldn't see the post and thought maybe it swung out from the trans tunnel or something.
Ahhhhh - that's it - thanks Mark........ Green and white on your side.... red and chameleon on my side.
That makes me sad already on a Monday morning! LOL But, strangely enough, as I was driving the Merc in this morning, I got to thinking what unreasonably huge task I could take on for the CCR next year that will take me right to the last minute. LOL
Due to the number of pre-registered cars and the year of my car, Kevin called me in advance and informed me I would have to park across the street this year. This didn`t bother me a bit. I understood his rules and commended him for putting on a great show. I talked 3 people into bringing there cars this year. They all enjoyed the show. Planning on the 4th trip to Indy next year, I will be driving the car in my avatar again and be parking in the lot across from Edwards. It`s much more enjoyable than driving my wife`s mini van.
Wow, I don't know what to say..... I'm very impressed with your loyalty to traditional kustoms. They really need to pick a larger venue that can hold more Kustoms... I plan on going next year, so save me a place beside ya.
I've got my room and ha ve registered. I'll have to drive my '36 again but I'm working on my new Fleetline. Maybe 2018.
I am not going to represent my Fleetline as a custom. I have plans for a mild custom, but on the mild side of mild. I want to go to this event bad. Tell me about the lot across from Edwards, Stan. Is it reserved for hot rods and other enthusiast cars, or for the general public.
It`s just a parking lot for the general public. Anybody can park there. I stay at the host hotel, LaQuinta. There are lots of cars there as well. It`s a must see. I arrive on Thursday night in Indy and leave Sunday morning.
Can't wait!! It's a mad dash to the finish, but the Lavender Lady should be set to go just in time with her touched up looks.
I've got a ways to go, finish up paint, new tires and sort out some minor electrical issues but am planning on having the shoebox there Sent from my SM-G935P using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Yours is looking a lot like mine! LOL New '56 Olds fender tops/headlights and peaked the hood. Should be back in paint the end of the week.
