    Topping off before a Friday night cruise. Runs 10 flat @ 135mph at 7200DA. Mid 9's at a normal altitude track I guess according to NHRA. A good bit harder now after this past winter's wrenching. Not a full on race car, it is street driven a lot on the weekends.

    I would just about imagine that his one is Opel in name only. :D

    Actually I have heard roasting the hides, but only in the movies.

    Flopper seems to be a pretty common across the board name for a funny car though. I am not sure when it came about so it could be more of a modern thing. I do remember here in the mid west in the '70s Funnys cars being called glass strippers but that may have been more of a radio promotions thing.

    Anyway pictures are what I am after, with or without clothing. ;)

    Fox News Detroit did a feature on the upcoming Detroit Dragway Reunion a couple days ago and invited a few of us with modern day nostalgia racers to lay down some noise. The anchorwoman Jennifer Hammond even got a ride in a '31 coupe, capable of mid-8s. Enjoy
