Great thread! Love the old and new pics equally, as long as the new look like the old! :)

When we were planning out how my T was going to look this same picture was sent to me by my buddy Herb (60 gasser) I never really noticed until just now that you also cut your cowl back although you took it back even further than I did. I think that and a steel top is what really makes a T shine. The 2 things I "borrowed" from your car are the steering setup and the low stance.
    THANKS!:p

    P.s Thanks ME.Gasser!

Here are some shots of my altered. I had Logghe Stamping Company build it for me in '77 - '78. It was the last altered built by Logghe Stamping. Chuck Kurzawa welded it up. Bergler tinwork. I crashed it in 2000. rebuilt it last year (front-halved) and last September made some passes in it again. Ford 300 six and 'glide. New paint comes this Spring. Enjoy

Here's a link to a couple dozen "postwar" reproduction dragsters on the HA/GR forum right here.

    Enjoy.

I just finished this one for Tim Arfons (Art's son). The Dustman brothers did the chassis and I did the body, seat, fuel tank and wings. The car is basically a replica of Tim's first drag strip ride, a Hanna bodied Woody that he drove in the early 70's. The motor is a turbine out of a helicopter and should push the car to high 6's at 210 mph based on the performance of the original.

Holy crap Rooman. I thought we were nuts for running a blown alky motor in front. That is insane.

Does the exhaust exit high enough to keep from asphyxiating the driver?

CSGA is no more. Roger and Jeff are coming but that's all I know of. I'm sure more will race the Gas classes. I already miss the rivalry between clubs. I'm headed over to the White Walls thread right now to see what shit I can stir up. Haha! Now back to modern nostalgia. ;)
