Last night I was sitting at my antique computer (tower) listening to my Oldies and Classic Rock (was "New" Rock for me, once upon a time) and it got me thinking that if I would chose one song to cruise to, which one would it be?
Well, that was a tough one for me because there's a lot of cool songs to cruise to, but for me it came down to the song "I'm So Proud" by The Impressions. So I extend my question to all of you: Which one song would you say is "Thee Cruisin' song for you.

I'd listen to "Kashmir" by Led Zeppelin, but my headers are too loud, so I don't have a radio. Nothing beats the sound of lake headers in the morning.

  16. I think "Dear Mr. Fantasy" by Traffic is the ultimate cruisin song. For me anyways. I also really like "Blow at High Dough" by the Tragically Hip.

Del Shannon's "Runaway" - can't hear it without thinking of dark streets full of hot rods (American Graffiti) or finned cruisers (Crime Story).

Growing up in the back seat of our Tudor sedan listening to the 8-track repeating sounds of Elvis, Jerry Lee, and many others from the 50's & 60's brings back great memories...and I still love those songs. As I grew older, good times were also created listening to Boston, Hank Williams, and the likes of ZZTop, George Thorogood and Stevie Ray Vaughan. I also really like listening to Shakin' Stevens (which my Dad also introduced me to). Songs such as "Green Door", "Marie, Marie", "You drive me crazy" and of course "Hot Dog" all remind me of flying down the the freeway with my Dad behind the wheel on our way to a rod run.
