Once again I find I'm in need of help from the great minds of the HAMB.
I just bought a 301 sbc short block (327 block 283 crank)that ran on alcohol in a front engine dragster. The motors a nice piece with BRC rods and pistons splayed billet main caps and balanced rotating assembly. But I've drawn a blank on the roller cam.
By the numbers on the back it looks to be a Crane cam blank 119566 with 702A which I think is a date code.
The grind numbers on the front are CT A6580 R410 R410L with .8 etched there also.
Anyone out there with some old Crane cams catalogs that can shed some light please?
    Thanks in advance. 1554029733358.jpeg 1554029806384.jpeg

Call Crane and ask the tech guys? That could be a custom grind for a specific engine build like that.

It may not be a Crane cam, they supplied blanks to a lot of different cam manufacturers with the same number stamped on the back. I thought they went out of business though?
