Hopefully a full recovery is in the future and the person or people behind it can have justice given to them at the HAMB drags next month... a buck a hit to raise money for bob...heck of an idea huh. Keep my eyes and ears open here in Dallas

 

Good grief, I'm so sorry this happened, and so embarrassed it happened here. It makes you want to saddle up the posse and head out, if you just knew which direction to go.

I'll get the word out. With so many rare and unusual parts on this car, maybe we can get lucky this time. I'm also available to help chase any leads, night watch on other cars coming in this weekend, or whatever else is needed.

For those that don't know, this was about 2 miles from the drag strip, in an area of town that has been going down hill fast.

what always shocks me is such a odd car gets taken and no one sees anything

I guess I'm nosey old fart, I always check out whats going where

Tulsa does seem to attract thieves, this type of activity seems to happen often there , No offense to the law abiding good folks of grenn country

 

Also, you guys that are local or near the interstate..........get on your CB's and put the word out to the truckers. The truckers found a stolen drag car in KC about two years ago and the guy was onloading the enclosed trailer with the car and then was busted by the truckers.

Side note, I know that at the HAMB drags everyone stays up ALL NIGHT and there was mention of a off duty person walking around. With the price of "scrap" and a messload of cars around, that may be a good idea.

That is terrible news. I hope it is recovered in one piece. this is making me think about buying an encosed trailer that I can sleep in. It also really makes you think about the worth of putting all this time and money and spirit into something "for fun" just to see it ripped off.

What else can you do? Take the wheels off the trailer? Put a logging chain through the rims? Tie a rottweiler to it?

This is getting stupid. I do think the racers are being targeted by a specialized group of thieves. I'll almost bet it was loaded in a semi around the corner.

I hope they get what is really coming to them..time in a pine box.

If they catch them, they should kill them. Then revive their sorry asses, and kill them again.

They just ran a short story on it on the local news along with pic. Maybe that will get some of the average joes (non car types) paying attention too. I hate that this happened in my home town. I've got every feeler i've got out, and spend my days striping in a whole lot of shops, so I will definately be on the look out.

Saw the picture in the Tulsa World paper (Sat edition) with story. The only thing is that the IDIOT that did the story captioned the picture calling the car an ATV............ Where do they get them..................... At least there was a picture of the car and they said it was stolen. That's more than usual for that RAG. Maybe everyone should just put a dozen donuts in their cars when they cross into OK, that way the socalled cops would pay attention.
