Couple photos of how it was done back in the day...

  1. Great candid shots of a Kearney Bowl (Fresno, CA) supermodified being built. Probably around 1965, judging by the tires.

    judging by the guys haircuts I'd guess a few years earlier than 65
     
  9. It's possible... I believe all these photos are of Marshall Sargent, a hero driver in the Valley for years. I went back and found a 1965 photo, and the car appears to be much more "cut-down" than the one in the build photos. There were also photos from 1960, and the car in those was larger, so somewhere in between, maybe?

    I think that is Marshal in the bottom photo nealing down facing the camera. He was from San Jose, do not know if he ever lived in Fresno. Great photos.
