It has fuel injection emblems on it. I know, that's no guarantee but.

Well I made the assumption (you know what that does LOL) based on the Fuelie badge on the fender.

My eyes are not what they used to be, but I don't see any
fuelie emblems. The fuelie script on a 61 should be above
    the stainless trim.

I kind of wonder about the 62 rocker molding on what appears to be a 61. It may make sense if the class was based on actual weight (and the molding was filled with lead) but I believe the class was based on advertised weight and advertised horsepower. Even at that the K/S would be quite a low horsepower model, I believe. I don't have my weight rule books with me as I am away from my computer, but it seems it would be maybe a 245 horse at best.

My guess is that it was a 230 horsepower 283. The shipping weight of the '61 w/o driver is listed at 2904. At 230 horsepower, that would have produced a P/W factor of 12.62. In '71 my '57 (167# lighter) w/245 horsepower ran in I/S with a P/W factor of 11.17. At some point in the annals of Junior Stock there must have been a class structure in which 12.62 would have placed the car in K/S? An interesting side note is that the NHRA spec for a Vette equipped with a PG transmission added 90# to the shipping weight. Anyone who has attempted to bench press an iron 'glide into a Corvette chassis would swear that the difference is somewhat greater.

Was this car offered for sale on eBay or somewhere else in the last year?

I always liked the 58-60 drag cars without the rear bumpers for whatever reason, especially when the holes for the bumpers have been filled in to look like it never had bumpers.

1963 Z06 Corvette. It should have the wheels covers to be factory correct.
