The number 11 car was a rebodied SSCorvette It was a styling exercise of Larry Shinoda's built in '59. One of the best looking concept cars ever.

Pat sorry I did not respond sooner but my computer was down. Doug and Roo are right on anyways. The car is a cool concept car and I remember seeing it a number of years ago and it looked like it needed some love. I believe they repainted it since then. I number of years ago I had a chance to buy a kit car replica of the car but passed on it. I have seen a couple of the reproductions since.

Skokie, Illinois based Tero Corvette also fielded a purple split window coupe that was raced in SCCA competition (A/P) by Doug Hooper.

Enloe some pretty cool pics. Like the 337 car which I believe is a fuel injected 64 with pie crusts. Also the last pic with the SR2 and what I believe is a 58. Really like the look of the car with the small windscreen and the rollbar. The only addition I would make to the 58 is some knock off Halibrands and it would be perfect IMO.

Hey Jim Dillon, thank you for your comments and suggestions. Yeah.....definitely a lesson learned. Kicked myself for breaking the car, but what the heck. Fix it and move on. Realized afterwards that I should've taken it easier off the line for just wanting to make a timing run. Just got the car on the road earlier this year so the plan is to drive it, put some miles on it, and enjoy it!! Jokingly.......my oldest brother said, "time for a nine inch!!" Well for now.... probably not. Might think about some driveline upgrades in the future, but for now, just gonna drive it and have some fun getting some seat time!!! She's no cream puff, it's a fun car to drive......but these old 'vettes need to be on the road!!!

^^ I can't wait to see what they look like on your 'vette. I dig the idea of the redlines.

Is this the same car as pictured above at Bonneville? They are both red '63 coupes. Yea, I know all '63 coupes are red.

I wonder if that is Canadian Lloyd Shaw's Jag in the background. He ran it in a number of oval events including a NASCAR event in Canada at the CNE that I think Lee or Richard Petty won. Shaw also raced sprint cars with Jag power, my uncle drove for him for a while.

Pretty cool Enloe (what does that mean?) I remember corvettes in the late sixties looking just like that.

Enloe, I never saw a 'vette with those wheels on it but they, combined with the redlines,
look great. I had Cragar S/S' on my '63. This is the way it looked in 1972.

Enloe and quick85 and everyone on here who has a modified Corvette (even just wheels)
makes my heart skip a beat. In the 60's and 70's there was not a stock corvette around, no matching numbers or concourse cars, something was done to almost all of them. Those where the days.
