thought so... a guy pete down here picked it up for a song coupe years ago...they ran it though an auction sad to say no one new what it was... he ran it twice last year at no problem drag meet as display . cool to see how crude things were then and how brave the old racers were to drive them 0r how we were young and dumb !
What is the life expectancy of a dream. This is my idea of a killer Corvette. I love these cars all red. I dream of having one....But.. it will never come true.
Hey Paul! Great to see you here. How about you and Doug at New England Dragway in this pic? Bill Freel
Ya, $22k plus another 22k to finish it..outa my league. But I do own a title to a 1960, maybe if i sit in my rocker and make vroom vroom noises it would turn into a gasser. Sorry, just a semi-stupid old hot rodder that bought and sold too many C1's for <$1000 in the early 70's.
your right 60 for 600.00...61 for 675.00 53 for 300.00, 68 convert for 1000.00, a 66 for 700.00 all were driven home for that price... freind of mine was cleaning up... took them all apart really never finished any of them. he just recently after 35 years cut loose with 53 to another freind who had to make a new frame and he put all late stuff under it .would have been a good gasser but.to each his own... the 61 also sitting with almost no frame left... i hate to see cars desinergrating like that... oh yeah he went to chevy and bought every available part he could all black and gold boxes tons of nos stuff in the early 70,s to redo them before he got married .............end of story..............
YEAH BARON IM WITH YA....ITS ALREADY GOT 2 X4,S ...MAN A SET OF I BEAM SPACERS AND A SET OF AMERICANS AND TRACTION BARS WOULD BE KILLER ! ALL BOLT ON STUFF WOULDNT HURT THE VALUE OF IT. PUT IT BACK WHEN TIME TO GET RID OF IT
I just had to search out this thread and go through it again... Again ! It is messing with my brain... I need a psychedelic gasser vette! Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
Rocky, we don't have many, I can only remember one in a gasser style (but there could be more I dunno). This one is calling me
Rocky, this is the only gasser inspired one I can remember being over here, built by Merv Barnett a while ago now I think. There may well be others?

A GUY THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BUY MY 59 FELL IN LOVE WITH MY 63 WHEN HEY GOT HERE AND MADE A CRAZY OFFER. HAD TO LET IT GO . WAS GOING TO AXEL IT LIKE MY 58 . MAN I MISS THAT ONE BUT CANT KEEP EM ALL. GOT A 57 SOMEWHERE IN THE GARAGE WAITING THE TREATMENT TOO >

I don't want to get you in trouble rocky, and as you already have a 57 waiting in the sidelines, how about you see if you can grab that 67 for me, in the name of charitable intercontinental relations and all that!!

Rockey, the top of my closet is full of my old model kits, mostly Corvettes. I had to trade some of my nephews to get back a few my mother THOUGHT I didn't want anymore. Still have my original '63 and '65 coupes, and my gasser Willys.
