Folks Of Interest Cord revival?

  2. Meh...........It's been done before, not only with Cord but Stutz, Duesenberg, Mercer and a few others. They all tanked. Where are the new Studebakers that we were promised a few years ago? The Glenn Pray, Corvair engined 510 Cords were pretty nice. The SAMCO Cords were clunky looking. The later Avantis were gross.

    I always loved that design & it's exiting to hear about a rebirth. But, alas, I'm picturing a car that shares only the shape with the original. As much as the shape was what made the car spectacular, so was the styling detail. I'm not sure how that lack of detail, from the intricacies of the over the top chromed, engine turned dash to the stainless pipes venting the supercharged motor, will detract from the whole endeavor. My guess it will be on the same lines as the GT-40. As much as I want to love that repop, I can only like it.
