went over to this guys house today and looked at this model a roadster he had(not for sale), it was built in the the late 40's-early 50's. it has a barris badge, but isn't documented to have been built there. the front end in from a Franklin. its just a really cool car with a lot of funny details. the one thing i really liked about it though was the windshield.
Cool as hell....Seeing that just got me that much more inspired to finish getting the engine in the Galaxie after work tomorrow. Thanks for the pics.
Holy shit! Talk about a find. A car that nice stands a good chance of having been in a magazine or two a while ago. Love to hear the story on this one.
I guess I'll have to get down the first year of Hot Rod and see if that little feller is featured. It sure is familiar to me. DOn't know why.
Damn... now THAT is cool. Thanks for posting the photos! What engine is in it? Flathead? ..any photos of it? Malcolm
That front on picture makes the nose look like a football helmet! I'd love to see the engine. Thanks!
the guys keepin it as original as possible, and i dont have any pics of the motor, but guy said it has a 48' flathead with a merc crank.
That roadster belongs to John Bade. He's very well aware of it's history and it will be preserved, he bought it from the original owner/builder. He's had it for about 10 years, it's in good hands.
I haven't seen him in a long time. He used to have another cool track nosed roadster too. I think it was black primer with a 327?
