Cool Steering Wheels

    Looking for a cool steering wheel for my Chevy AD project any suggestions?

    I like the old chevy banjo steering wheels. I have had mine for years and let it get weathered to the point it needs alot of work and someone lifted by horn/trim ring.

    Unless you are going to change or modify the column a FLAT wheel is a must. The early Corvette wheels are terribly expensive but I wish I had kept the one I had in the 48 in it rather than selling it to a restorer. It looked the best in the truck but the thin rim was a bit hard on the fingers after a few hundred miles in a day. Probably one reason the guys who drove early Corvettes wore those cute little driving gloves all the time.
    I'd probably look for a deluxe wheel from a GM car out of the early 50's that had a flat spoke wheel.

    As a former AD truck driver, may I suggest to keep the diameter large, unless you're converting to power steering.
