Yeah, that's what I thought. I've seen it in a lot of my Corvette books before.

I know I've seen one, wonder if it was an early kid or a oneoff build.

  7. Known as the "Waldorf Nomad" when new......built for an auto show at the Waldorf
Astoria Hotel...as I recall. Made, of course, by G M.

There is a copy out there built by a fellow in the last few years. Probably have to
Google to find it. I believe he shows and describes what he did.

The Superior item is evidently something fairly new.

The $125,000 is just for the "rolling package," not the completed car. And a mere $50,000 deposit. I'll take two, please.

Here's a pic of the original, along with the concept Corvair (fastback)

If all four of those bodies were available today I wonder of GM would be in the mess it is?

I've always liked that sports/wagon thing: Volvo P1800ES, Reliant Scimitar GTE, BMW 2002 Touring, etc. There are lots of other possibilities.

I seem to remember Allard having done a few woodies. Indeed:

Not as pretty as that Corvette, though.

Now I'm wondering about thin-fendered possibilities...

  16. $125K is too rich for my blood - too bad. Wonder why he wants to ask so much and offer limited numbers - ougt to make the coupe in that vintage photo also!
