Here are the long awaited pics of the coupe we found buried up to the door handles. The body itself isn't so horrible, some rust in the lower areas and some thin spots. The floor is all there, but its pretty scaley. What was above the ground is also pretty beat. The doors, fenders, grill shell + insert and running boards are junk. The decklid is pretty thin, but can be saved. I gave all rights and claims to this to my brother, so direct all generous cash offers to harvey birdman.
I've been waiting for these pics for awhile. Got any as you pulled it out? I was also wondering if you guys think you did any damage while you dug it out. Any shovel scars or anything like that? Was there a frame?
I forgot the camera the last few times I went to dig, and my bro didn't wait for me when he went to load it, so no pics there either. We used small garden shovels to dig around the body, so I don't think we did any more damage to the body(I'm not sure how you could tell if we did). There was no frame, I assume it was made into a hay wagon when the body got pushed off. We did find the other headlight buried about 10" down in the engine compartment.
That's a lot like most of my cars I've dug up, farmers would just take off the body and leave it somewhere, using the frame as a trailer. Pretty cool to see that coupe out of the ground, good job! Been waiting to see pics for awhile!
thanks matt for posting these finally. I was begining to think eberhama was latin for slower than a moles ass
Me thinks little brother will be posting his own pics from now on(wheres your intro n00b?). Also, its appears fototime sucks for hosting pics.
Ditto, was looking forward to taking a look, I figure anything buried down here in wet ol NZ would be rot !!
Anytime the address starts with www.fototime.com, the pic are not visible, same problem with Mr. Tech post.

Nice to see someone recover another one from a dead end journey. We ALL know of plenty others that can't be had but that's an old topic and I'll respect your thread.
