NOS going on my '46 Olds
Thanks mate, thought I'd seen that decal before. I'd forgotten about that great thread, I posted comment 46 where I also complimented it.
I've been collecting decals for my camper - some don't stick too well any more
Start of an interesting thread here!
These are on cars in a salvage yard near me.
On an old Ford coupe drag car:
On the back glass of a 56 ford wagon:
Here's one, it's been there since at least July of '62, the organization was established in 1928.
When I built this in the late 70s I put a 1934 Penn. inspection sticker on the windshield. After I sold the truck, I tracked down the new owner. He told me he replaced all the glass because of the inspection sticker. All of the glass was less than 5 years old.
Here are a few on a '33 Ford coupe survivor.
Sammy from Rocco and Cheaters gave me this one a while back. Actually he gave me a handful, cause he said "they're so old half that the time they don't stick".
There are guys out there repopping these - but WITHOUT permission. Laser printers and cheap transfer paper make it easy to steal these old designs I guess. Every time I see guys selling these and other bootleg stickers at shows I wanna punch them in the neck.
Sorry for the rant. Anyways, here's the decal, in the back window of my '55 Chevy pickup. I put some clear tape over the back of this one to help keep it in place.
went by rocco&cheaters about three years ago an the old fellow that was there gave us one. don't know if they are still around but he might still have a few. he told us his grand son was going to car shows an swap meets with the old stuff that was in the store an selling all the old parts
Here are a couple.
Saw these at the Moonshine Festival in Dawsonville. NOT PC!!
loooooove the "country boy" decal
Front and back of original PA inspection sticker applied 2 months before '36 Plymouth coupe was parked for 50 years.
Heres a few on my Comet:
Here's the 1962 WV inspection sticker that goes with the '61 license plate on the rear of my coupe. Back then, new license plate years started on July 1, so the correct new inspection sticker for that plate would expire July '62. I run them because my car is "the way it would have been done back in '61" The front plate is a "booster" plate that was sold by the Lions Club as a fund raiser. The color matches the year's "regular" plate. No, the '61 plate not legal for YOM, but I keep the "correct" one with me in case I get stopped.
Saw this on the power tour, it's a trunk sticker.
An original NEHRC decal on my '30 Model A...
