Cleatus, well, that's a good question.I just brought it up as a suggestion.I see many magazines cover up plates when doing a car story.I hear guys say some character can get your address from the plate number and possibly rip off your car and or house. It seems know one here much worries about it,so it doesn't matter.
And all of us are on this here internet thing? You don't think they have all of our info and whereabouts already? Big bro is watching all of us and you can't hide. Have any of you seen how many cameras are out there now and not just in the intersections. Take some time and look around when you go out some where and is it me or did all this start happening when Bush jr. got into office?? Makes ya wonder.....KNUX!
It was on Egay. I was highest bidder and did not meet reserve. I thought seller would re post (he didn't), after about 5 days I contacted him and he was reluctant to sell. After about 10 days he contacted me and we worked out a price. I meet him the next Friday halfway between our work places (13 miles) after work and got it.
I love that one. My buddy in Highschool drove a 70 convertible caddy the license plate said "WAS DADS".
a littlle o/t but i saw a bumper sticker yesterday that id like to have on my roadster.. It said ......my other toy has TITS Dave
buddy of mine in a '04 Z06 vette had "NTDDYS" on his plates he was 20 when he bought the Vette so he let everyone know it wasnt daddys!I thought it was cool sadly the car burned in a fire so now he's building a '58 vette with the Z06 drivetrain
This one is on my 1964 Plymouth drag car .. Its a real plate, they made samples before the run and sent them to capitol in Pierre to get a ok Got the plate, with all the paperwork on ebay .. cheap ..
yeah, that's my roommates civic. it must've been a saturday or sunday b/c everyone is home (other roommate is parked across the street)
here's the one that came with the 55, i found it in the trunk. 7/66 is my mom's birthday, and the last 2 numbers are self explanatory.... unfortunately they werent able to register this plate, so for now it's a wall ornament. maybe some day it'll be on the car.
I had this on my 61 Lincoln convertible. I was pretty sure this one wouldnt be available, but I tried for it anyway. Turns out the previous owner of RATPACK let his tags lapse and it was just past the time limit they give you before it goes back to being available to the public. After I sold my Lincoln I transfered the plates to my 69 Chevy panel. Its turned into a long term project and not on the road, but I keep it licensed so I dont lose the plate. Im hoping someday to have the appropriate car that would match the plate. Maybe an early 60s Caddy convertible or something along those lines.
Well,we think its cool, and thats all that counts. 21= Division 2, #1. Our car#(NHRA) after winning the division championship in 04 with my sons jr. dragster. And of course the 1320 is a 1/4 mile (enough though the jrs. only run the 1/8). Anyhow a swap meet find that we run on the front of our 49 Hudson, even though its not registered, we've haven't gotten any grief.
Kev I would like to know the story behind this one. Punkassgearhead has a 666 plate also. Wish I had one. That would definitely be one for the road .-Weeks
