I had a Bonneville 200 MPH club frame on my F100, came out of a restaurant and my plate was on the ground, frame gone. Hated that, thief had NO 'religion'.

And if you cant find one for the WA tag, make one. Cut, sectioned, welded, polished, painted to match the car, SS backing plate custom to fit reverse light/2 tag lights.

I've got a pair from the dealership that sponsored Jack Chrisman's Super Cyclone on my Comet:

Those would look great on my Cyclone!

  15. This one is special to nobody but me. It's a frame from my grandpa's DX gas station he owned in the 50's-70's

The last pair I saw on ebay (a couple of years ago) were listed for about $750. I got mine (also, on ebay) about ten years ago. I was extremely lucky (for once) and happened upon them about an hour after they were listed with a 'buy it now' for $15.

Best one ever on any of my cars is...none.
I dislike license frames. Some of the above are cool, just not on any of my cars (or bikes).

A couple of years ago, I found and bought the original plate and frame that was on “The Collegiate Coupe.” It was on Craigslist of all things. When I called, the seller told me the story of how he had known the original builder, and had bought some boxes of parts from his estate. The guy found the plate and frame in the bottom of the box.

Long story short, I was able to reunite them with the current owner/restorer of the car. He had apparently been looking for an example of this frame for some time, with no luck. He never expected to have the actual one off the car.
