Been talking to Lee about doing this to my gasser sedan since nobody seems to want to pay anything much for a sedan even though it costs the same to build as a coupe....

he is a quality builder i have seen some of his other projects
Steve is doing a great job of converting this sedan to a coupe

  8. With the price of coupes un-touchable for so many and the re-pop business only getting bigger........Are they soon to be stamping these out as complete steel bodies like they do with so many other classic's?????? Just wondering....

I think some of you need to understand the difference between stamping a body panel and forming one. Stamped body panels are stamped in a press - for example, Brookville panels are stamped in a 750 ton press in a preformed die. Lee's panels are hand formed and shaped over a buck - wood or fiberglass. So whereas Brookville's panels are mass produced, Lee's are hand made using his considerable expertise and skills as a metal shaper....

Is there a way to blow the article up so we can read the captions? My son and I are well on our way with a 40 sedan and any new info will help!

Just wundern if things are any closer on the Coop ? I may be fitting stock steel coupe doors into my 37 Sedan so these roofs and alterations intrest me ! Anything custom interests me !
Great job ! Lee and Troy both have parts into my cars and those guys ROCK ! Couldn't do it without them !

Actually Jeff , I will be down that direction in a couple weeks ! I just picked up a real decent 37 sedan I am doing a quick build on and if I like driving it I may stick Coupe sheet metal on it . I have enough to either build a good 37 coupe or a good 40 coupe ! Might need some more small things from Lee though :)
