converting a generater

    I want to change my generater over to 12v negative grnd. Its of a 59a 47 ford. Any tips on where to find the parts and what to look out for,Thanks.

    Take a 57 Ford generator and use your 47 front mount/cover and pulley on it.

    Or, you could swap the 57 armature, coils, and rear cover onto the 47's case and front cover (the cases are the same).

    Found a 57 kit for 45.00 beats 145.00 to pay someone to do it. Thank you.
