converting 6lug truck to 5 lug

    i have a 59 apache 1/2 ton. is there a bolt on hub from early car that will fit to convert to 5 lug? i have been told there is, but no one is sure what years will work. any help would be appreciated.

    the ones i have always used are gm 49 to 54 pass

    thanks Clay. i knew someone would know on here. are the bearings the same or do i need different ones?

    49-50 won't work, you need 51-54 passenger car hubs and drums. and remove the dust shield, that thin plate that fits between the bearing and brake backing plate, use the one from the car or just leave it off.

    thanks squirrel. i never tried to keep a straight axle before. would like this one stock, only with 5 lugs.

    Use the bearings that fit the car hub.

    Bearings are the same and squirrle is correct 51-54

    I veleive it is like 275miles, and before I give u a price let me double check that I have a set.
