Looking for a top notch convertible guy in the Portland Vanvouver area. It's a 1931 Chrysler Imperial 8 Dual Cowl Phaeton, LeBaron bodied. About 10 known to exist out of 85 produced. Top will be black or dark red like the rear fenders. The windshields, hardware & bows will be installed. It's in a Hazel Dell / Vancouver shop right now being assembled. There's a completion deadline of early July. Both cars will be shown at the Forest Grove Concourse, July 15th. You can call my cell: 5O3-8O6-47O6 OR emai me direct: HulaUkeMan(at)aol.com OR reply to this thread Thanks! Mark Web photos of one with a top: I have an upholstery guy that's already started on the interior.
Spike's has been closed for several years. Steve at Beaverton uhpolstery does alot of classic's. I hear Guy's has a good reputation also.
Lowkat, You might call Les, he worked on a couple club members cars years ago and did an outstanding job, he likely knows someone in your area Convertibles Only, Seattle - 206-282-5603 http://convertiblesonly.com/index.htm
I would suggest Jim Enger at Guy's Interior Restoration, 2016 NE Alberta, Portland, Or, 503-224-8657, I have seen very high dollar cars, 30's Packard, etc, being done there. Bob
Jim has done a couple cars for me over the years, one of the best and a honor to have him do it.............
Two thumbs up for Guys interior restorations. Guy Recordon is a fantastic dude. He just finished a Carson style top for Tom Black's new Cadillac custom. I try to find a picture. Sent from a pay phone
