    I donated that and installed it in 1980, when the racer's group reopened the track.

    Here's one of my favorites forwarded to me by Gene Horn. As told by Loyed Woodland, after Brainbeau's Indy class win by Bob Gaudreau's disqualification Bob was ranting and raving calling foul by the Brainbeau team. So a special best of three match race was set up between the two at Connecticut Dragway. Loyed beat him three straight.

  23. Thanks Mike, I was there the day the super-charged gassers were there.
    SWC, Shores and Hess , Kohler Bros' King Kong Anglia, Jack Merkel, Eddie Sanzo (pictured) He worked for Jack . Always loved the wicked chopped top look .Would love to build one.

    We raced there all through '68. They had Jon Lundberg announcing. It was my favorite year of racing of all time.

    Frank Federicci rarely, if ever, made a straight pass. He was definately entertaining. The car spent most of its time one one slick and one zoomie.
