I talked to my dad the other day and he told me he's got his digger in the 12's. I missed out on going to Indy but he sent me some pix... Hope you all get to the HAMB Drags to see it for yourself... JOE
I enjoyed spending time talking to your dad, Joe. Real nice guy. Glad he got into the 12's...makes it more interesting for the Hamb drags...
I love it. Man those cones gotta give it a sound all it's own. Got any pics of it boilin' those wide whites?
I enjoyed meeting your dad he is craftsman as well as a nice guy and his bud 2b banjo FOLks those where 2 hard running flatheads
Joe, Did your dad build that all by himself or did you have a hand in it. That's one of the best looking HA/GR's I've seen. Frank
nice i though it was a cool ride when Ken and I went to his place and i saw it on the table the body turned out awsome has he done anything with the international pannel yet ltk
I went down for a few days and helped with some of the minor details, but he and 2B BANJO pretty much had the majority done. They built a frame jig and benders for the roll cages, and will probably be building more. At least I think that's the plan. They built 2B BANJO's last year with the same jig and components. My dad built the flathead... it's his first engine build. He did it with the guidance of FLATJACK in Oshkosh, who's about THE go-to guy for flathead stuff in the mid-west. I don't know how well you can see it in the pictures, but the radiator is removable and all the cooling lines are made from stainless tubing with clamped connections (food grade). The radiator can come off and the coolant looped right back to the engine. Pretty nifty... Dad's got computer issues but I'm hoping he'll get on the HAMB pretty quick. Now that he's become involved in this and has met so many HAMBers, it probably won't be long in coming. I know he's having a blast. JOE
