Heading out early Sat AM-
I am plannin to be there Saturday with my brother and his 52 Ford I have been workin on.
Think I'll take my biscayne up there again. Hope its more hot rod movies. That odd movie with Duval from 1970 was a snooze fest. At least play some car moives
Yeah, THX1138 was last years movie. Not the best flick.
I'll be there Saturday, with my camp chair and camera bag. This thing is a blast!! The people are more than willing to talk, the cars are awesome, the beer is cold. I'll probably take my truck and put my '56 plym parts in the back and talk some trade. Doesn't matter- it's fun just being there.
Took my 56 buick out there last year...best event in town...people are cool, good vibes all the way around. All I know is that I should have been there a day earlier.
I forgot to pick up my stuff last year as I registered early at the record bar...talked to nice folks there also.
Hope to finish my brakes and get the car out for its first voyage...since the last Greaserama! (@#*$&^#)
Looks like a southeast Iowa rice paddy farmer.
we're coming up saturday and as always we can't wait. looking forward to spending some time behind the wheel of my old truck shootin' the breeze with old friends
This year's movies will be Death Proof, Planet Terror and Sin City
Now that sounds more like it.
I thought some of you might enjoy this. Seems like the perception of Rodding has moved from Tradiational Rods, to Rat Rods and the new movement......the Clown Rod.
While at our show we are focused on pre '65 cars, we do allow Old School Lowriders, post '65 highly modified "street brusiers" (Mad Maxish) But never silly modern wheels or billet sporters.
Also there is always the "ones" that think that a car slapped together in a weekend or two with welded on wrenches for door handles and a tilt steering column out of a 80's K Car qualifies to be considered a rod.
Well we, the PUNK RODS, are trying to send a subtle message with our new bumper sticker for GREASERAMA #10. Even "Franken" Iron Eyes Cody gets a tear in seeing trash not only across our roadsides, but even at car shows.
if you were only able to attend for one day which day, sat or sun. is the day to attend?? thanks
I've always only been able to attend on Sunday and had a great time, but the sheer number of people on here that say they're going Saturday have encouraged me to skip my 10 year standing plans. I'll just dvr the football game and watch Monday
Is that a "for reals" bumper sticker? I might have to buy two.
From past shows, the attendance of cars is largest on Saturday. We have more bands playing that day also. Awards are presented on Sunday.
It is totally "for reals" and will be for sale this year at the GREASERAMA merch tent.
I'm looking forward to having my A there. Wont be able to spend too much time at the pre registration party, 'cause i'm pimping some skateboard equipment i make at 1st fridays, tonight. Carl
All checked into my free hotel room (thanks to mom's gambling at the casino), hella tired but I'll be there tomorrow and Sunday.
Look for the white 63 Galaxie with the red roof, plus a 56 Chevy Hardtop, 54 Chevy Pickup, 41 Merc... That's us! I'll be out taking 100's of pics that I'll put up on my smugmug page throughout the weekend as I can get to highspeed internet.
See ya there!
Best wishes for a great show troops. My ride is out of commision so will sadly miss for the first time in 5 years. Have a blast, my road warrior brother Rob Lee is blasting up there in the "hot rod Lincoln" so Omaha will be represented. Rock on! ~Sololobo~
Wow! A great turnout yesterday! I took over 500 pics and they are going up now on my smugmug page. I'm heading back in a couple of hours for day 2, gotta find a bigger hat though, I got torched yesterday .

I had a great time at the show yesterday! More cars than you would believe. I know that the Punk Rods were looking for every possible place to put cars at 2:00, they said they were almost at full capacity!! The bands were great the cars are always great and the people, well what can I say....the people make this show! Great job again Punk Rods!
Awesome time yesterday! We got there around 6 PM, and got to meet Little Car and her troupe from Iowa. Great people, great time as always.
I was out there last night. It was packed. I really dug loretta suede or whatever her name was that was singing. They rocked.
Anyone have any car counts on saturday? It was packed could not have asked for a better day, even the wife had a good time!
Our group had a awesome time as usaul!!...it was great to see so many new & old friends!
Just got back to the hotel, I wussed out on the movies tonight. Thanks to Los Punk Rods for putting on another great show! I'm already planning what car I'm bringing next year, trying to figure out if I could get my Galaxie to tow my Falcon wagon
#26 is me!

Another great time, tired sun burnt and out of alcohol. Truck and trailer made the trip without a problem, except mpg.
Hope to get my photos up Monday.
Great show again this year and my son said they had over 900 cars there saturday. Met a few hamb people there and had a great time.
It was nice to meet you yesterday! I'm actually finishing my last beer right now
