I am looking for some colors to paint my steel rims on my Model A. getting bored with the red. I like the pastel clay, cream, brown colors. maybe a bronze or orange metallic color. i Googled some stuff but havent found much. I was thinking lots of guys on here have taken lots of photos at shows and what not.. I you have something interesting to post, post a picture or 2. the Red is just to common or safe. I am looking to make a change. Maybe someone has something that will inspire me? (im working on getting a picture of the car to post its current look)
I have to say that looks like cow hide stretched over the top panel on your roof. Hair side out no less.
Gold or Hawaiian Bronze would be cool. Cream or Beige looks good on 'em too. When all else fails black with white pin strips is always an option.
To paraphrase an old line "I see a red wheel and I want to paint it black " Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Why Don't You Paint Each wheel a Different Color That way you can Look at them & Figure them out Just think off all the Comments You'l Get.! Just my 3.5 cents Live Learn & Die a Fool
Wimbledon white powder coat (Oyster white powder) Going on my 26 RPU , Washington blue with white firewall.
I hate everything about that RPU, now even the wheels and tires. Those wheels are sharp in that color man. Love the wheel and tire combo.
They're listed as a tube type tire but I mounted them tubeless on my new WV gennie wheels. There are numerous other guys who are running them tubeless without problems.
Thanks, really like them, but the tubes had held me back from getting them. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
I would say gloss black just cause you want to change it, but you would have to bring in the red somewhere else, pin stripes or something, or ditch the red carbs & block. Personally, I love the car the way it is! You need to see The Moose, he helped me out a couple times.
The colors you mention are great, maybe the fins on the front of the radiator the same color as the wheels. On the other hand consider full caps.
