Cool stuff Moriarty, I remember seeing the signs around town "Get Your Car SIMONIZED Here! My Dad was a believer in Simoniz he used it as far back as I can remember. I seem to remember a Gold can and Red lettering. Joe

    Hello,
Great collection , but does paste wax in a flat can count? Blue Coral was the best...but hard to take off if you were not concentrating...That is one thing I have saved from 1960. I still have the original can and the bits of Madras Cotton Cloth , I used to wax my 58 black Impala. It had the deepest shine for a black car. I used one of those dusting rags (out of a can) every day after school and it did not scratch the finish. Recently, I use a little Blue Coral on projects here and there. But, the smell is very distinct. I also used the pink Glass Wax can and Westleys Cleaner. I always kept the Blue Coral in one of my dad's 60's wooden cigar boxes, toothbrushes and all.

    Thanks,
    Jnaki

As in, Harlow Wilcox and the Okies?! I've got an album from him but never heard anything else he did.

I have a few wax cans and polishing cloth tins, but does anyone else have a can of real nitromethane? :) My uncle gave it to me years ago and to be honest I'm a little fearful of it since I know how sensitive it can be. It probably dates from the 70s, so it's probably not a problem. ;)

Is that where Liquid Glass originated? Or is Liquid Glass an entirely different manufacturer? Joe

Man seeing a lot of those cans sure brings back a lot of memories. I used quite a few of those products over the years.

  30. Like I need to collect more stuff! Only a couple polish cans so far, most are oil and related. JPEG_20161009_210852_-1677081289.jpg JPEG_20161009_210633_-1971592549.jpg The stove polish is odd. Turtle chrome polish just ain't the same without rust color from inside the metal cans.
