Can I use coil-over springs as standalone springs for my model a in a set of spring cups?

I now made a set of truck arms for the rear of my model A. I am going to mount my rear springs off the truck arms. I was planning on using some stock car afco/tru-coil 5" springs. Ive been searching ebay and none have come up in the 200-250 lb range the past few weeks.

I found a set 225 lb 11" free height coil over springs on ebay for $20 that Id like to use if so. Once compressed they'd only be about 9" tall and sitting inside 2 spring cups, so I'm thinking its not a problem but wanted 2nd opinions.

Yes. The shock part is just a shock combined with a spring holder.
