....the car was very near completion; the hood needed to be done but otherwise it was primed and ready for paint. It had been to many of different shops over a 10 period but the car never had a cohesive direction....

Sad that there are shops and individuals out there who take advantage of others and cover their so called work. It's only when someone like you comes along and exposes their deceit and shoddy workmanship that the owner can then really see the quality of the previous work or lack therof.

 

Nice start! Please tell me you've convinced the customer to get rid of those wheels and tires?

A lot of things originally didn’t flow with this car , and now I’m tackling the rear . Reshaping the fender quarters and trunk .

I thought I was hard on tape measures!

Looks like the "slim fast" version of the back side on this one is coming along nicely. Keep truckin.

 

Some more Progress on the 47dodgeproject .The original grill that came with these cars are plain out ugly , so Eric Black and I designed the front of the dodge with a more classy 49 dodge wayfair grill . The main goal of this project was to make this car look better but still keep a lot of it Dodge. I have a lot of work yet to do to blend the sheet metal into the new grill area , but from this angle things are looking good .

 

You are killing it. But treat yourself to a new tape measure.
