That's a lot of naked metal. Looks great, congrats on the magazine coverage.

Y'know, I kinda like the blue fade whitewall look. I wonder if there is a way to keep that. Well, maybe not on a deuce coupe - but on a full custom it speaks to me.

No harm in fogging with a removable dye and trying them on once its done...the eyes will know...

    thank you

there 28.5 tall 8 wide 15s. From Towel
    city tires ,
I wished someone made 6” or 7” wide pie cuts cheater slicks as they would be more correct

but this is the closest to what I could find that they fan back in the day that were brand new .

  7. Proof that your work is insulting to skilled Bondo-men, everywhere. :) Ha !!

What the hell was that thickness anyway ?? Can't tell with the coloring or lack of.

Really don't even need to say. Wasn't up to standards.

    .. .. & now it is !!

My 32 5w ran a flathead to several dirt track championships at the helm of two owners & lastly an inline 300 c.i. Ford inline... I also came up short searching for a narrow rear track tire, how wide is the rim on your rears ?

    Hey, I resemble that remark! :D :D

Cody's work is amazing, and an inspiration, for sure.

  11. Why do I get the feeling that this ‘32 is going make every other ‘32 look bland by comparison.

Just went through whole thread ! And Wow great work and LOT´s of thought on those details.
Love your way of thinking and doing. You have been busy with your new power hammer on those floor details. Nice... Walden Kinmonts , for me it took over year wait after payment to get them , but worth it.
Like everybody has already said , this is going to be something else , something OUTSTANDING !

Naw man, looks great, sounds great for like ten seconds or so and then you deal with that noise. I've got 117 k miles on a six cylinder with headers, two thirty inch glasspacks (probably nothing left inside), 'X-pipe', tailpipes running out the back. When I do my 261 I'm definitely going for quieter.

The quarter panel lower bead line disappears behind the front of the rear slick and re-emerges behind the rear of the slick. Have you considered raising the bead line to follow the arc of the rear tire circumference? I would not even suggest this mod to someone with lesser abilities and machinery than you.

I’ve thought about it . But after looking back a the little books most of the east cost channel jobs didn’t mess with the body line . They just left it what it was .
So I’m trying to pay homage to that.

Trust me , it’s hard at times being a perfectionist and having ocd and showing restraint .
Any other time I would have totally matched that body line .

I’m building the exhaust two ways , the headers for when I want it to be obnoxious, and the manifolds with a full exhaust for the long trips

Restraint is highly underrated. I love watching people with skill and immense creativity who innately know when enough is enough.

Keep up the great work. This build is fun to follow.

Great Mail day . I got my wheels back from Jon Wright Custom Chrome plating now the fun part , to true them up and rivet them back together . My carbs also showed up today (No I’m not running this ugly short stacks .) the carbs are rare and of the correct Era , they are Weber dcoe 42s. Off of a 57-62 Maserati 3500gt

I like the artistic presentation and composition of your photography. Every picture tells a story. If you ever give up this hot rod nonsense you would make a good photographer.

Jon Wright does awesome work. They did a car for me several years back. Every piece was like a jewel.
