Does anyone know who still works on these in SoCal? B&M is all RV crap and Art Carr moved out of state. Is John Kilgore still building trannys or just making parts?

Check with C&O transmissions in Hawthorne and Darryl Young in Burbank.

Thanks! Forgot all about C&O. I think Daryl Young went out of business.

Had one in my willys the first 2 years I raced it. One violent ass transmission. Sintered Bornze clutch and today's tracks & tires just don't mix. Make sure you put in a modern clutch that has some slip if you plan on racing it. I destroyed 3 57 Olds rears in 20 passes. They are cool as hell though, give you whiplash on the 1-2 shift coming down the return road at 20 MPH:D:D:D

Bob Spar runs a dragster in the S/C class out of Division 7. He was one of the original owners of B&M. Maybe look him up.

Knew a guy here had one in a Thames panel on the street. He didn't always use the clutch, just slapped the shifter into low and fed it throttle. Light car, low gears, radical smallblock with a fast idle, Big chirp, big leap, and off he went! First time I saw that was at a tollbooth on the PA turnpike:eek:
