We have a 1929 Ford Closed cab Pickup body that is severely pooched. Is it worth thinking about cutting the top off, and grafting it to a Brookville RPU body? will the doors fit? or, are there repop panels available??
The RPU and closed cab bodies are different dimensions; would require lots of cutting and likely wouldn't wind up looking "right" in the end.
If the doors and subrails are decent you can get almost every other panel for the closed cab truck. I got my stuff from Howell's Sheetmetal in Texas about 15 years ago. http://www.fordor.com/category.cfm?cat=1928 1929 Pickup Model A Parts&dept=2831modela
I am also looking for the window and lower cab panels. I bought the back corner and t strips from Howell on ebay and also ordered the lower but never received it and now I am unable to find the middle 2 panels anywhere. Maybe someone has a set of these for sale
