It all depends on the wheel you choose. The four spoke, or the more tradtional three spoke.

Wow, some great ideas coming through....I knew (some of) you guys had it in you, it just took a while to get there. If I had just asked "what steering wheel should I use?" all I would have gotten was "it's your car do what YOU like". LOL

So, stock wheel painted in a Pearl finish with a chrome bullet horn button (loose the mini air-bag).
    Thanks.

Tradition didn't just end in 1964. Although not suitable for this particular Bird or this board, chain steering wheels are traditional.

    There, I said it.

Hell yes! with all this controversy about them why not.

    Chain drive steering . . . . .NO!
Chain steering Wheel. . . . Yes! But make sure the links are welded :D

You also need one of those little plastic nodding dogs for the rear parcel shelf.

And don't put fake bullet holes in your car [ Be Authentic! ]

To each their own. Do what satisfies you! Personally, I wouldn't, but it's your money, your car.

Hey Dude, a Chrome Chain Link steering wheel is better than no steering wheel at all. True story: I was at a parts yard in East LA, sittin' in my truck when a Mexican Dude pulled up with a load of kids in the car. We both got out at the same time, and as I walked past his car I looked in and believe it, or not, he had been driving his boat with a pair of Vice Grips! Brrrr.

An original wheel in pearl white and black would be kool. Same for the body color, pearl white and black 2-tone. Yum.

  26. OK Rog,
Just checking in and the "It's your car, do what you want with it" crowd has arrived. They just never can stay in the closet.
