I never expect anything car related as who would know what I want or need. Just thankful for good health in our family.

Mine had a note that said "some assembly required".
My wife just finished assembling it for me.

  11. I'm hoping to get something similar for my birthday in March. Got the block, molasses cleaned, and now need to scrape together enough money to get it machined and filled with a new crank set.

I got a nice set of Milwaukee hole saws but I wanted to show the wife's gift from our son. He found this late 15/16 T hood side on ebay then had Todd Jones (Jones Design, Marion IA) do the lettering on it. Came out great!

  17. My dad got me my first set of Snap-On wrenches for my first Christmas. I was two weeks old!

  18. I guess I was naughty. I got a lump of coal in the form of a large puddle of oil and antifreeze under my Model A...

So, with my wife's blessing, I spent a few days pulling the motor and disassembling it...

...which was actually a fun way to spend the holidays. My 83 year old father even stopped by and helped a bit. So maybe I was good after all :D

    Happy New Year!

  24. How would I know what “The good H.A.M.B.ers” got? I can tell you what I got though..
a new floor jack (been looking for replacement casters for my old jack) and the week before Christmas I got the okie dokie to go buy myself a 47 Chev panel truck- it’s kind of a mess but a neat truck, original Deluxe model and real/matching title.

Christmas WILL come, just a little bit late. As previously stated I needed luck and patience. Well, everything came together, and I made a successful purchase of a tin toy item I had 57 years ago. It's coming the long way from Europe to California, due in about 12-days. I'm trying to relive my youth and there are still a number of items I want to someday put in a display case. That would be very cool.

  29. Santa brought me a buyer for the Model A sedan body I had! Translated, I got $910 put into my hot rod fund!

Now, if the Easter Bunny can find it in his heart to bring me some time, I might get the truck running and on the road this year!

And my oldest daughter gave us a new grandkid...just a little late for Christmas though!
