Hi! I wanted to know if you can tell me, with certainty, if the bezel tail light shoebox 49 50 is steel and therefore weldable? or metal pot..?

What ever happened to the blue shoe box? I live in San Diego and have never seen it at any of the local events and these pic's are from 2014.
