That's what counts. I think if I had done that much of a chop I would have had to lay it down some too. Like I said, your's looks great. Good work.

Ok when I started this thread I said I was going to do some other things to the car and I don't know if I should start another thread or not . So here I go for now. Now that the chop is done ,Waiting for the glass man,I am going to start rounding the corners on the hood. The back of the hood on these cars just don't look good to me and I want to cut the back of the hood off and build a filler pannel to the body. Someone has done this already but I am going to do it alittle difrently. The tape showes where I will cut it. IMG_2073.jpg

I also plan to change the grill to a 49 dodge grill and a 72 comaro bumper.I'll post more pictures when I start. Right now I am working on installing Bear claw latches with door poppers and shaving the locks. IMG_2065.jpg

someone has cut the back of the hood on this car. I think it would look good cut off strait with a rounded corner. The other side top corner of the hood is bent and curled under from the hood not opening properly. PS I like those skirts.

Hoods are around still. Would be easier to do that and just round the corner. I would think out where you are, that they would be all over the place.

Thanks for liking the skirts...I couldn't find any I liked.

1/4 round and some 18 gauge a few 5/16 bolts with fender washers.

Very nice so far. My first car was a 46, I loved the 46 grille but always eyed using a 46 Cad grille, never did it.

    Great job on the chop.....

Also, I do like the fender skirt JAWS put on his car. I'd use those anytime.

    Great work guys.

Wow, you nailed the chop and are quickly turning a so so street cruiser into one hell of a nice custom. The grill looks like it belongs in the car too.

  28. Well it's looking better but that ass has got to go down. It's killing the looks. That top is gonna look so much better when the ass is lower.
