I started chopping 46'chevy buisiness coupe for friend and would like to post some pictures.the car has sort of a prostreet look now but we are going to make it more of a tradishonal look when we are done. we are planning to chop it bout 3 1/2" ,lower the back end,add fender skirts ,french the head lights and maybe pancake the hood with rounded corners.this is where I begin.
this is the car I am working with,I have the lines layed out whear I will do the cutting. View attachment 1159344 View attachment 1159345 View attachment 1159346
now that the top is dropped I can start rebuilding the B pillers and the radius in the quarter window.
more cutting and fitting ,welding and grinding. Note ,I was able to do all the work without an english wheel or plinishing hammer.
I don't know the coupe was baught this way,but with the amount of filler I am finding I will bet that thay just got filles in ,but I will investagate.
Here are some misalanies pics. I've got the doors done now and I have to do some shrinking with a torch and some hammer and dolly work but it is pritty much ready for filler. I.ll go back to work on it in the morning and have some more pics. later. Thanks Kory.
LIFESTYLZ, I don't get a chance to sit in front of a computer that often. I really did it in about a day and a half. haha. Thanks.
Thanks for the kind words, got a few more here, working on the trim rings and the wing windows. Oh and got some new fender skirts in.
How much did you end up taking out? I didn't lay my back window down, I built a filler panel between the trunk and roof. Your's looks good.
