chopped shoebox with sun visor

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by firmebombacruiser51merc, Jun 14, 2010.

  1. heres a shoebox i recently chopped for someone and put a exterior sunvisor on it. who likes visors and who doesn't? i think they make a chopped ride look like they are chopped harder.

I like early '50s Chevy pickups chopped with a visor. That ford looks good though.

Im not too keen on it, mainly because the visor is mounted about two inches too low to my eyes.. there should be a good gap between the top of the windscreen and the top of the visor..they look like a baseball hat pulled down too far otherwise. Mount it up a ways and show us.

Is it a coupe or a sedan? show us a profile shot!

I like really like the chop, the visor takes away from it. I like to see the tops of all the windows/windshield line up. Less is more on this shoebox. Nice work though!

I don't think you'll be able to see much.

    I like it.
Of course it depends what style the owner is shootin for.
If hes goin for a Bomba/kustom look its goin to be perfect.
Any better pictures of the car? Looks sweet anyway.

Thats a good looking chop. Why screw it up by sticking something on it? Leave well enough alone.

    NO!!!!
There may be a law stating how much windshield you need to see through.
    Scrap it.

That's a very nicely proportioned chop, but the visor takes away from it... and the car. Kustoms are supposed to be flowing, add-ons take away from it.

Close, not terrible, but not quite right somehow. Aligned a little higher with the windshield like originals might make it work better. I agree that it does make the chop look lower.

My chopped '53 Ford has a visor on it, I really like it. I like it on this car too, but I agree with others that said that it looks like this one is mounted too low. I think it needs to be slid up the pillars a couple more inches. The one on my car is slid up the windshield posts as far as I could go with it.
