I don't really have any good profile shots of the car to show how much the windshield is laid back....it's actually a pretty severe chop, and laid back 10 degrees over stock.

I hate to show the same car 3 times in a row, but that is just flat awsome!!! Anybody know how to cut a picture out of a quote?

  6. So, we all hear the comments about 32's becoming "belly button". Then one comes along that is so perfect in it's simplicity that you just want to sit and study it.

    Hey Brent.
Thanks for highlighting the Aussie hot rods out there. Seems as though hot rodding is a universal language.

The Chopped event is a real hoot.
Last year is was cold and wet, so we had mud drags. It was a real blast - I drove a banger powered coupe.

  8. @CTaulbert: Your car is awesome. I can only hope that my '29 turns out as good as your '32 has, very inspiring.

Absolutely seconded!!! Makes me rethink my decision to paint the roadster P/U orange though...

Great to see you guys adding a few pics of my roadster. Only has a slight lean back and 2" chop on the posts.

Fabricated lower 28 style posts with 30 deluxe stanchions.

Found 2 almost matching parts of brass windscreens at Bendigo swap meet, and cut and shut the frames into one.

Was told they were austin 7......

I did not want to cut or chop any original part (model A......other makes are fair game) in the building this rod.

I'm still enjoying the crap out of this thread - and this may be the best top on a split V car I've ever seen. Gary

Not sure, maybe someone will chime in, eventually. There are a bunch of newer styled parts on it though (rear P&J mount on the axle, brake cover, spreader, etc.) so it could go either way, I'm sure. I'd like to think it's the real deal but the lack of handles and hinges does make me wonder.

Regardless, the windshield and top complete this car and set the look apart, in my opinion.

There are a bunch of pics of this car floating around the HAMB. I've even got some saved away, somewhere. When I saw this shot the other day I knew I had to get it into this thread. What a slick profile.

Just took a look at this thread. Pretty cool, my Dad's '33 in post #110, Washington Blue, full fendered. My '29, now in France, at the bottom of post #56.

    Thanks for the submissions everyone,

Before its restoration... I would've left it as is.

The Gabby Garrison way... Brent, they went on a vacation and will be back in a couple of weeks. I will ask them then.

Saw this roadster one day on the HAMB. No lean but a neat perspective on what a chopped WS looks like from the driver's POV.
