I have to agree with everyone else, it looks beautiful. The color really brings out the curves. What's the story on the chop? How much did you take out front and back? Do you have any pics or a thread on it? I'd love to see where and how you stretched the roof out on this particular roof line. I'd love to do a chevy fleetline one day and I have to say your car has the profile I'm looking for.

buck, here on the message board type in looking for history on chopped 1950 olds, it tells were i got in touch with the gentleman that did the chop. He told me he had as many hours in the decklid as he did in doing the top. Ive had several chopped cars, the chop on the olds is done right thats what drew me to it. He has been chopping tops for years.

Really like your car. Just bought a 51 Fleetline and I would like to chop it, keeping the proportions similar to your car. How much did you chop the top and do you have any build photos during the chop? Thanks

Why don't you drive it to Salina for the KKOA show so us flat landers can get a real good look at it.

Hell man,how did I miss this? That is a beautiful, beautiful car. The colour is right on! I love Fleetlines, particularly the early ones (them big hips, baby). In fact if I wasn't wheelchair-bound I'd have one now.
    Preferably yours:cool:

+1 Everything on it seems to show up better rather than get lost in the black like it did before. I love black cars but the new paint really does show off the custom work.

Jerry, you are going to have to switch to button up shirts because your head is gonna' swell up too big to get t-shirts off!

The car is very nice, it would have taken me a long time to decide to paint it something other than that black! Gutsy move.
