Event Coverage Chicago guys, Route 66 Classic?

I know its not exactly the Meltdown drags or the Hunnert Car Heads up, but is anyone planning on going?

 

Can't make it. Meltdown drags lived up to it's reputation. I'm trying to got it up and running again for Cordova.

 

I'll be there Saturday.

 

Took my 1957 chevy wagon,made two passes(11.53 and 11.51), track had good hook. Not near as many cars as the meltdown,but well run event. Shake,Rattle, and Run put it in the sand trap after a low 7 sec.@200 mph but only hurt front bumper. They need to go to Byron and see how that event is run if they expect it to get better next year,I was there two days and will be back next year - awsum event. Route 66's cutoff year was 1979- way to new for nostalgia.

Route 66 in Berwyn is huge.
I have gone in the past and may go again this year.
There will also be Bare Bones CC 10th Anniversary Party at the Brauer Haus that evening.
So THAT will be a good time fer sure.

Thought it was a good show,some cool racers and the show and shine,although small, was nice as well.Watching the Peak Oil Top Fuel make some passes was awesome.Here is a few pics and the link to my photos.
