I have a couple. A 66 hardtop that I have logged 68k miles on since it hit the road in 2001 and a 66 wagon that I did a 2 door conversion on. Just finishing it up, delivered to the upholstery shop a week ago.

Too bad post 65's aren't legal here, but if you don't mind I'd sure like to see some shots of those two cars. PM me, I'll send you a few of my 67.

Since interest has dropped off for Chevy II's I'll post this shot and move on. Nice car, though.

Was this a production car? I've never seen one of these?

Nope, neither were any of the Chevy II two door station wagons that you see.

    Nope again.
I guess since the 66/67's were closed out of the thread and this discussion fell by the wayside I'll end the misery.
For whatever the reason, (and believe me I've searched for a definitive answer), GM Canada chose to have their own tail lights for the 66/67 ChevyII/Nova. These are a completely different housing than the thin aluminum stampings of their U.S. counterpart.
They are pot metal and chrome plated.
The Acadian version, and as far as I know sold at Pontiac dealerships is also mfg. in the same fashion but also a casting all their own.
Sorry, can't post photos, not within HAMB guidelines.

  23. In my opinion the 2nd gen. Nova is sexy.
Hard to find a nicer looking car.
I really like the 1st gen. as well.
They both remind me of drag racing.
Both of these cars look good as a 2 dr. sedans too.
As a kid I built a lot of Nova model kits.
Being from the Great White North I should have known there was a difference between taillight housings.
Maybe it's because when your car won't start at -400C & you try to push it in the garage you don't collapse your tail light housings.

I want another one. I had a 62 that we put Chevelle frame in. Fit like a glove between the rockers.
