That appears to be a mechanical fuel injection manifold, not a carburetor manifold.

Or a manifold that could do either, with mechanical injection stacks on it.

    Mechanical fuel injection is full-race.

They tend to be all on, or off.

A few folks have managed to get them to run on the street, via secret voodoo magic.

You might just have a mismatched pile of parts.

I see no evidence of injectors, just unfinished bosses, but there are injector stacks, that appear to not have throttle blades.

McKay is my guess, probably from a circa 1965-67 USRRC or Can-Am car. Most of the Formula 5000 ones I have seen used down-drafts.

Correct George, just thought being the thread was from Oz, there was some technical value in the read.
I came reeel close to getting either a TWN or a Moon intake, even had a good chat with Fred Larsen at Moon about it.
I came to my senses when the whole shebang was in the 5K plus price range.

My guess is the bosses on top of the runners are for throttle linkage, not fuel. Photo caption didn't say, but my guess is, looking at the scallops, this is either Jerry Grant or Masten Gregorys McLaren. Doug I bet you saw Jerry race a few time, eh?

    parkey,
I am with falcongeorge in that the bosses appear to be mounting points for the linkage as opposed to locations for injectors. If it does have the 58 mm side draft bolt pattern it would be a good idea to think about making the injection functional as 58's are about as easy to find as rocking horse shit or unicorn horns (and about the same price range). In the days of Novas, Camaros and Mustangs in the Australian Touring Car Championship a number of cars ran 58 side drafts. I have a photo somewhere of Terry Allen's 67 Camaro with 58's on a big block that I took at Mallala back in the day. Beechey's Monaro had "drip feed" Lucas injection but I think that the Nova had side drafts.

Doesn't some Volkswagen outfit with a name like JC Engineering or something make 58mm sorta weber knock-offs?

David Vizard mentioned in one of his books that these guys make 62 mm downdrafts:eek: but that was some time ago. They also do 58's. Its worth an email anyway.

Also, how about 4 Mikuni 50mm PHH's? They are a little small in stock form, but there are bigger custom chokes available. I worked a lot on a buddies Lotus Super 7 that had a pair on a twin cam Toyota, that thing was the scourge of the local autocrossers...
