Hello all, is this possible? Would that be the right thing to do on a 50 chevy 1/2 ton? I need this 216 and original granny gear trans out now!! LOL... What is needed for this bolt up?

Seeing that a 292 has the same bell housing pattern as the small block V8s that came from the factory with T-5s, you've got all sorts of options. You could even run the hydraulic clutch setup from the '80s F body, along with the corresponding bell housing that had the integral mounting bracket for the slave cylinder.
